The Marc Adams School of Woodworking is physically one of the largest hands-on woodworking schools in America, with over 9000 square feet of shop space. Each student has their own workbench and complete access to wood and veneers as well as other consumable supplies. There are copy and fax machines available along with Internet service, and the buildings are air-conditioned. Both weekday and weekend courses are offered. A sampling of recent offerings included building a writing desk; wood turning; finishing; 18th century carving; introduction to spray finishing; carving a shell; and joinery classes. |
